John P. McKernan – President and Chief Executive Officer
As president and chief executive officer of YORK Label, Mr. McKernan brings over 25 years of experience in the packaging industry. He most recently served as president of MeadWestvaco (MWV) Calmar, a global leader of dispensing solutions for the cosmetics, fragrance, home and garden, personal care and pharmaceutical industries with revenues of approximately $500 million. As president of MWV Calmar since 2001, he worked closely with his leadership team to transform the business into a leading global enterprise with over 2,500 employees spanning four continents. Mr. McKernan was promoted to president of MeadWestvaco Calmar in 2001. He joined MeadWestvaco Calmar in 1996 as vice president and general manager and was later named executive vice president of the division. Prior to joining MWV Calmar, Mr. McKernan worked for Setco, a division of McCormick & Company, as vice president of sales and marketing and previously as vice president, engineering and new product development. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts -- Lowell Plastics Engineering.
Michael J. Polcyn - Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Polcyn has over 25 years of experience with leading providers of print products and services. Before joining YORK Label in April 2006, he was the Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for WorkflowOne, a top print manufacturing and outsourcing services company. Prior to that, Mr. Polcyn was the Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of DST Output, a premier provider of variable image printing solutions. He began his career at Moore Corporation, a premier business forms and services company, before its acquisition by R.R. Donnelly & Company where he culminated his 19 year career as Vice President of Finance. Mr. Polcyn is a CPA who holds an MBA degree in Finance from the University of North Texas and an undergraduate degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University.
David E. Klotter - Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Klotter brings to YORK Label an extensive marketing, sales and commercial leadership background with over 14 years of experience in the packaging and labeling industries. As Vice President, Sales and Marketing, he is responsible for leading the Company’s sales, marketing, business development, strategic initiatives and acquisition development. Most recently, Mr. Klotter was a marketing and sales executive for Multi-Color Corporation. Prior to that, he spent nine years with Avery Dennison in various sales and market development roles, managing several large national accounts, serving as President of the Company’s Sales Council, as well as earning his Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Mr. Klotter has an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.
David Bowyer – Vice President and General Manager, Cameo Crafts Wine & Spirits
Mr. Bowyer joined Cameo Crafts, a YORK Label company as the Vice President and General Manager for Wines and Spirits, North America. He is responsible for plant operations in Sonoma and El Dorado Hills, CA and the commercial business throughout North America. Prior to joining YORK Label, Mr. Bowyer was the President and Co-founder of Vintage 99 label, a California based wine label printer. He also has extensive management experience having spent 8 years as a Sales Manager for Landmark Label, Milpitas,CA. Prior to that he held various management roles during his 8 years at Harland’s of Hull in England.
Chris O'Brien - Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Prior to joining YORK Label in July of 2006, Chris held various management positions in information services for 18 years and spent 10 years in the Print Industry. Most recently, for the last 6 years, Chris has served as Vice President of Information Services for Corporate Express Document & Print Management, Inc. (CEDPM), a $300 million business forms and pressure sensitive label producer headquarter in Omaha, Nebraska. As CIO of YORK, Chris is responsible for all internal facing information systems as well as all external facing information systems. Chris is a graduate of Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Julie Lane – Corporate Director, Human Resources
Ms. Lane has held various management roles in human resource management for 16 years and currently leads the human resource function for YORK Label. She has been with YORK for 8 years. Prior to joining YORK Label, Ms. Lane was employed by Baker’s Supermarkets, a division of The Kroger Co, as Director, Human Resources. Ms. Lane is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and holds the certification (PHR), Professional in Human Resources.
